Emirates Airline has advised its passengers traveling from Ninoy Aquino Manila International Airport (NAIA) to arrive at the airport no later than 4 hours before their flight departure due to the high volume of passengers at the airport.
This announcement was made on Thursday, March 9, as the airport is experiencing a significant increase in passenger traffic.
In an email sent to its passengers, Emirates Airline said that the check-in desks will now close 75 minutes prior to the standard departure time.
The airline also reminded passengers to check the travel requirements for their destination and ensure that they have the correct travel and health documentation. The airline added that it is looking forward to welcoming its passengers on board.
Earlier this week, passengers were advised to arrive at NAIA earlier than usual to avoid missing their flights due to the nationwide transport strike of jeepney operators against the jeepney phaseout. The strike caused a significant disruption in the country’s public transport system, resulting in many passengers being stranded and unable to reach the airport on time.
With the current high volume of passengers, airlines are urging their passengers to plan their travel accordingly and arrive at the airport earlier than usual to complete all airport formalities in time. Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for any updates or changes in flight schedules.
The Ninoy Aquino Manila International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the Philippines, and with the current surge in passenger traffic, airlines are taking measures to ensure that their passengers have a smooth travel experience. As such, passengers are advised to heed the advice of their airlines and arrive at the airport with ample time to spare.
